FITTING INSTRUCTIONS Removing & replacing a watch strap attached with spring bars
The spring bar sits inside a sleeve at the end of the strap (on watches with deployment clasps, one side of the strap attaches to the clasp in the same way).
Use a spring bar tool(or a small flat screwdriver or craft knife blade). Insert tip between the slots on the end of the spring bar.
Release strap by pushing the spring bar towards the strap, then easing the strap away from the watch once the pin is out of the hole in the lug. Take care that the pin doesnt spring out and get lost.
Replace the strap by inserting one end of the spring bar into the hole in the lug.Use the spring bar tool to press the other side of the spring bar in so it clears the lug, and slide it into place so it pops into the locating hole.
Fitting the strap to the clasp
Because leather is a natural material, the thickness of the strap at the clasp end can vary slightly from one strap to the next. If you have difficulty in getting the end of the strap through the clasp, place a dab of Fairy liquid on the end of the strap (on the outer surface of the strap, not the lining), and use the tip of a small jeweller's screwdriver to pull the tip of the strap through far enough so you can grip it between finger and thumb and pull it the rest of the way through.
